PRIVACY TOOLKIT

A WATCHED LIFE
IS NOT A FREE LIFE

We reject surveillance capitalism, biometric tracking, smart-city overreach, algorithmic policing, and corporate data harvesting. Here are the tools and knowledge to start taking your privacy back.

WHAT YOU'RE UP AGAINST

Surveillance Capitalism

The business model of Google, Meta, and most ad-supported platforms is to profile your behavior and sell access to your attention. You are the product. Everything you click, search, view, and buy is logged, sold, and used to influence you.

Smart City Infrastructure

License plate readers, facial recognition cameras, gunshot detection systems, and public WiFi tracking networks are being deployed in Northwest cities with limited public oversight. Most cities do not publish camera locations, data retention policies, or who has access.

Algorithmic Policing

Predictive policing tools and social media monitoring programs are used by law enforcement to identify people before any crime occurs. The data inputs are opaque. The bias evidence is extensive.

Data Brokers

Your name, address, phone number, income range, political affiliation, health conditions, and social graph are being sold by data brokers you've never heard of to anyone willing to pay. Opt-out is technically available and practically useless.

Corporate Biometrics

Fingerprint and facial recognition data collected by employers, airports, phones, and retailers creates a biometric profile that cannot be changed when compromised. Unlike a password, you cannot reset your face.

NOTE

Privacy is a practice, not a product. No single tool makes you private. Start with communication (Signal), then search (DuckDuckGo), then browser (Firefox + uBlock). Build from there. Perfect is the enemy of started.
